The return of the Sketch Club! Magic!

/>
To mark the first (and hopefully the last) anniversary of the Corona virus's reign over the minions of the Earth I've decided to bring back the much missed (a bit!) Quick Draw Sketch Club where all participants get one hour to make an image on a given theme either together on Zoom or individually at home. The first week back's subject was MAGIC which prompted the usual wide range of interpretations! Have a look at the hocus pocus that ensued!
Our first returning artist all the way from Poland is the fabulous Anna K Lange whose interpretation of the subject took me by surprise. A cat drinking and eating a doughnut would indeed look like magic and it's a great image!
Our next artist is the gorgeous Julia Xandru who came up with this beautiful glowing icon of a weird angel figure that could be a pendant, a brooch or a talisman of some sort. Another unexpected (by me) image but art is unpredictable!
Our third regular sketcher who's been with this challenge right from the start is the beautiful Annalisa Rennee whose interpretation also took me by surprise as she chose to do two lovely drawings of daffodils. I think she can see into the future because the next subject is Easter. Annalisa is a time traveller I reckon!
The last of us who made it to the live session was yours truly who did a very literal interpretation and drew the famous magician and escapologist Harry Houdini. Two more sketchers who would have made it to the live session if I hadn't forgotten to remind them of the day and the code number were firstly the etherially lovely Alan Bartlett-
Alan sent me this glowing oil and gold painting of a man using a magic carpet. Unfortunately, the image is slightly blurred but it's very fab!
Also, all the way from Uzbekistan the dazzling Anna Lindenberger sent me this energetic, effervescent, exotic dancer in scintilating colour. Thanks, Blondie!
Then all the way from Morocco our extraordinary twin artists Khawla and Somaya Sdour (their brother is really good too!) sent me a sexy witch and a fairy Godmother. Fantastic ladies! One day we'll see you back in Palma I hope!
And finally in a magic flourish of glittering gorgeousness we have another English artist who has joined us before- the girl with the perfect profile Pearl Bates! I particularly wanted to ask Pearl to join in as she's done a blog entirely about Magic. This lovely image is unusual for her as she mainly paints figures but it makes a wonderful end to this blog.
So, if you want to have a go, please join in next Saturday when the subject is Easter! Love Paul xxx
